Spotify Playlist III: Celebrating the death of Christ


I live in a place where a lot of the people are lunatic Jesus followers. In Easter (Semana Santa here) they spend the whole week doing parades with real size dolls of Jesus and his mom, some of them are hundreds of years old and should be in museums but the church own the pieces and they let their followers to march with them all over the city. They collapse the city, you cannot go anywhere, you cannot drive, you cannot access to certain areas... It's trully awful, and all the time with that terrible 'Cofrade' music in the background and people yelling 'king' to Jesus and 'pretty' to Mary...

Probably all that crap is one of the reasons why I got so much into metal being so young, still a wee boy, and why extreme metal really cautivated me when I was a teenager... And I'd been hooked to it since then. My preferences generally are death metal, brutal death and grindcore bands, not that many black metal bands got my attention. Generally I find their music a little bit more boring that other extreme metal subgenres and there are all those nazi pieces of shit that kind of ruin the scene for me... BUT one thing that I need for my mental health is to listen a lot of unholy pagan antichristian black metal and satanic extreme metal in general in Easter. I need it to don't go mad and don't go to the street to murder followers of Jesus.

This year we don't have that crap. It is probably the only good thing that came out of this coronavirus shit. The whole world is chaos and seems to be headed to some kind of apocalypse but at least my city haven't been taken by a horde of catholic zombie fundamentalists. Still, It's 'Semana Santa', the people had cover windows, balconies and walls of pictures of Jesus and Mary and they are constantly playing highlights of other years in the TV, so I'm really needing my good dose of antichristian music this year too to stay sane... Even if I wouldn't need it for mental health purposes, it's a tradition to me after so many years doing it. So I decided to share a playlist with what I'd been listening to this week: black metal classics, some thrash, some death and brutal death... I think it's a pretty fun playlist and, hey, FUCK JESUS!

My addiction of the week: Go Out Swinging by MOONS

Gimme Radio is one of the best things in the world in the last few years, specially right now with this coronashite going around and messing with our lives. I was lucky I saw the link in a random metal website a couple of years ago and I'm hooked to it since then. 24 hours of the music I love, and the real deal, the real shit. This is not just a radio where you can listen to the 'commercial' or 'popular' metal songs, this is an amazing community where you can listen from the last huge release by Metallica till some of the more raw, brutal and weird extreme metal ever recorded... and everything in the middle, which is pretty much all metal in the fecking world. Shut Yer Geggie Spotify Playlist I

One of the things I wanted when I started this blog was to publish playlists every then an now.
